Blanket for Dekker's

Good morning everyone.
As promised, here are the pictures from our latest project, which was delivered to Mrs Dekker in hospital last week.
I think you'll have to agree with me that it turned out quite lovely!  Mrs Dekker was very touched and loved the colours!

Well done everyone!
And thank you Emma for the lovely photos!

Blanket for Levi Van Dongen

This was a super fun project. I must admit when I first came up with the idea I thought that maybe it would be hard to find nice appliques that were easy to make and not too big. But wow you all rose to the challenge some even going out of their crochet comfort zone to try something different and then discovering that really its great fun and offering to make more when we were a couple short.

When Rose passed on the blanket she said the family were really amazed at our handy work but also really touched and thankful for our thoughts and prayers. May we continue to keep this young brother and his family in our prayers.

Now for the bit you've been waiting for the photos. Thank you Emma for your fantastic photography skills

Which boy wouldn't want this cool blanket?
Till next time

Our latest project: blanket for Peter and Nettie VanderSchaaf

WOW!! I have to say that I really love how this blanket turned out!
And I also know the recipient's LOVED it as well!!
You can read that for yourself by the card that was sent to us.
The soft colours bordered with the charcoal really make it stand out beautifully!
Mrs Fokkema has also been busy stitching a lovely square with our logo on it to be sewn to all our blankets! Thank you so much Mrs Fokkema. I'm sure you all agree it looks great!

Looking forward to our next project!

Project # 10

An amazing array of patterns and bold colours, this blanket really had the look of a stained glass window.
It was delivered to our recipient in the last few weeks of her life here on this earth. As you are probably all aware, she was so thankful for the thoughts and prayers that went into it.

Thankyou to everyone who participated in this project in the way of squares, joining and finishing off.

Project 9

A stunning blanket completed back in August.
Delivered to a very special family, to let them know that our prayers and thoughts are still with them 1 year after their precious son/brother went to be with the Lord.

I am able to send out this message of many thanks from the family for our love, thought, prayers that came with this blanket, as is was greatly appreciated!
Thank you to everyone who participated and helped out in the joining and finishing off.

Project 8 completed

Thankyou to everyone who participated in the most recent project. The pattern did prove to be quite the challenge for some, too much for others, and although this resulted in a smaller blanket than originally planned, we are still so pleased with how it turned out! And it still is a very decent sized throw, we hope that our recipient gets plenty of use out of it in the chilly months to come.
Special thanks to the ladies who participated in the joining process, it came together quite quick in the end.

A simple granny stitch border was added, and picot was considered, but then decided against as I didn't want it to look 'frilly'.

Here are some pictures of the finished project, I think I managed to pick the gloomiest day of the whole week to take these photos, I do apologise!
